Our Hands Extended...

Our foundation carries a message of hope to all in need and in particular the orphans and widows of Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen attacks on Christian communities in Northern and central Nigeria, some of whom are homeless or in IDPs camps. In the camps, traumatised children number in the hundreds of thousands. Children who have lost father or mother or both. Kauna Home provides a home where the children live and attend school. Children who have lost their homes and many family members. Children who no longer attend school because they have been displaced. Children with physical bodily scars as well as emotional and psychological scars. They need a lot of help.

Helping Hands is enabling economic empowerment for sustainability for the widows whose breadwinners have been killed by Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen. Because they suffered the loss of their husbands, their homes and everything, they are left vulnerable with children and no sustainable income. Helping Hands is equipping these widows with means of generating income. The first set of widows that presented their small business plans and secured small amounts to take off all did very well, made profits and have paid back the initial capital. They want to expand their businesses and are asking for more. We are encouraged to not only help them grow their trades but to also bring other widows on board to get them started. Our desire and prayers for them are to rise on their feet and be able to take care of themselves and their children and not live a dependent, vulnerable life.
